Amanita Muscaria mushrooms, Deception Creek, Hatcher Pass Rd, Alaska

It is late afternoon after a 10 hour drive from Seward to our campground on the Hatcher Pass Road near Willow, Alaska. Our friend Horst has started cooking dinner and I’m free to do some exploring. Right next to our camper I find a cluster of mushrooms. Too small for my regular lenses, so I switch to the bellows with a macro lens. They are very beautiful with their golden-red caps. Not for dinner though: they are poisonous and hallucinogenic (!) ...
